The biometrics letter just arrived in the mail this morning! Woohoo!
It's scheduled for June 4th, so while I'm in Canada (but of course, lol). I'm going to attempt an early walk-in this Tuesday while I'm in the town where the center is (about an hour and a half away). Since South Dakota is a pretty dead state when it comes to immigrants, I'm sure I'll have no issues.
I'll update on Tuesday once I'm back on how it went. Wish me luck!

That was a pretty quick turn around for them to schedule your biometrics appt! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteYup, the biometrics letter is typically received within a few days of NOA, so I'm happy :) I'll be even happier if I can get that early walk-in done, so I don't have to worry about re-scheduling.
DeleteHey Lindsay!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering about the letter. Did it authorize travel? I'm planning a trip to Alberta in July. Thanks!
The biometrics letter doesn't, but (typically) before getting the biometrics letter, you get the NOA, which states your status is extended for a year. This "authorizes" travel :)
DeleteOh yes, the NOA was what I meant. Thank you again!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! ;)
