Non-Immigration Interview

So, I can officially say I've been interviewed!

A few days ago, someone (Dan) commented on my previous post, asking to interview me about my immigration from Canada to the US. I of course accepted! :)

So, without further ado, you can find that interview on his website here: http://liveworktravelusa.com/lindsay-from-montreal-canada/

And there are a lot more interviews coming with many different nationalities.

  2. Enjoyed reading Lindsay!

I have to say - I am sad you currently have no plans to continue onto citizenship! What am I going to do without you?! We figure that we have come so far, paid so much, and had sooo many headaches that we may as well finish it off, so we don't have to do this again. My husband could very well end up going international for his job in the next few years, so if we end up coming back to the States..ugh. I DO NOT want to do this again and give up my PR! Guess I'm on my own for that. Thank goodness for VJ! I will always be a proud Canadian, though! Just US on paper, too. :)

Best of luck! By the way, received my I-751 NOA in record time - just a week after mailing my package!

    1. I just can't apply for US citizenship right now in this horrendous state this country is in (re: corruption). Unless things change for the better, this girl is staying just Canadian. Would it be a lot easier/better to become a US citizen? Sure. I don't have to pay $$$ every 10 years for a new green card, I'd be able to vote, no chances of deportation, I wouldn't need to carry a green card around anymore, and if I ever move back to Canada and then want to move back to the US it'd be a lot easier as a US citizen. But, despite all that, I can't morally take the citizenship oath.

But, if you need help with the N-400 process, I should be able to help you out. I know most of it as I did look into it years ago while waiting for my I-130 to be approved, lol.

And yup, looks like USCIS caught up on their little minor hiccup from end of April/beginning of May. It's supposed to just take a week or so to get the NOA. Glad it's back to normal processing times for that.
