I had already received a fee bill with my welcome letter nearly 2 weeks back.
But last evening, after submitting online DS-261, it suggested I wait for NVC to 'process' DS-261. I found out that processing may take 'upto 15 days'.
But the very next paragraph says, that within next 3-5 business days, I, the petitioner must pay the outstanding fees by logging in on the site.

So, bottom line can I pay now, because I received it mail already ? Or, I should wait and do it within 3-5 business days ? Or am I supposed to wait for their notification in 15 days ?

In order words, the status of DS-261 online says 'it is completed'. Is the any additional notification that we are supposed to wait for, before we pay the IV fees ???

Mrs. SRTAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8301419225298337668.post-73475222910054377652015-03-12T21:10:15.167-04:002015-03-12T21:10:15.167-04:00I've paid the AOS fees and printed barcode pag...I've paid the AOS fees and printed barcode page...what I don't get is - Why the IV application says $0.00 and I can't fill out DS260 application. I received the welcome letter from NVC at my residence here in USA. It has addressed the letter to my name, where I have been told to Choose An Agent.
Im confused because while going through the process of 'choosing an agent' it seemed like they were expecting my spouse (beneficiary) to choose the agent. But since the letter was named on my name and also received by me on my address, should I do the process of choosing the agent or does my beneficiary have to do it by compulsion ?

Secondly: the last page of 'choosing the agent' process has a question stating : did anyone help you fill this form. In my case, if I 'choose the agent' on behalf of my spouse overseas, should I answer a 'yes' or a 'no' for this question?? Because they will ask for electronic signature on next page and I cannot electronically sign my husbands signature. That will be wrong. Very confused. Please answer at your earliest convenience. I will truly appreciate your help.

Mrs. SRTAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8301419225298337668.post-5256872094522108222015-03-10T16:07:22.445-04:002015-03-10T16:07:22.445-04:00Hello Saylin,

We now want to correct that answer to 'YES' and state the appropriate reason ( visit visa denied ). The case is currently closed at the NVC and has been forwarded to the consulate. We are awaiting an interview date .
